A distant, different breed of dork...

So I'm new to the tribe, and I must admit that I only go through fits of extreme forum junky-ness when I have a term paper due (like I do in three hours) but I love the sound of this tribe. I'm not sure what exactly qualifies me as a dork, but here are some good examples. I h walk into a room every day and forget why I went in. I'm an English literature major, and that's where the dorkiness really kicks in. I have an exceptional grasp of grammar, but never use it properly myself, (my biggest pet peeve in the world is when people incorrectly correct grammar- AAAHHH!!!). I've read all of Shakespeare's plays, all of his Sonnets, and am actually ashamed I haven't taken the time to read his long poems (by the way, I think just knowing that he wrote long poems is a slight qualification, because it seems very few people do). I leap at the chance to debate what caused the shift from realism to modernism in the early twentieth century. I've read all of (and I'm pretty sure I got all of the literary allusions in the Thursday Next Series).
One of my life goals is to be able to give someone a seizure by the sheer overwhelming brightness of my clothing. I talk to plants on a regular basis (I have a particular obsession with different types of peppers, and while I've found what I consider to be the perfect chillies, I constantly seek the perfect sweet red frying pepper). I sit down and read cook books like novels, I read novels like magazines, I am completely happy to spend friday and saturday at home in bed. i'm severely addicted to caffeine. I stay up all night watching tapes of star trek and xena warrior princcess I borrowed from a friend (did you know that both the original star trek and Xena have a musical episode). I use the term "I grok you," in everyday language.
